Day 21: Batman

This week we start something new, NAIL WEEK!

it's going to be fun, and a nice break for my eyes
Today is the villains of Batman:

I started with Seche Base to even out my nails (and then topped all the final nails with Seche Vite)

On my middle nail I applied Quick Sand by Sally Hansen for "Two Face"


The first and pinkie nail got a quick coat of Black Out (Sally Hansen)

Wet Cement on the ring finger for "Penguin"


and Paper Chasing (china glaze) on the thumb


Happy Go Lucky by China Glaze for the actual logo...



I used the black and white sally hansen Nail Art Pens for the detailing of all the looks


and that's it...

Day 19: The Bombshell

yay my memory card worked today!! granted it is a different one than yesterday which caused the epic fail...

anyway super simple and quick look today inspired by one of the most beautiful ppl ever... Miss Marilyn Monroe, of course.

Day 17 & 18!! whoops

so i did post both days...just forgot to blog it
my bad!

anyway, tuesday was 80's halloween makeup a'la Joan Cusack in "Working Girl" it twas GOD AWFUL, check the video if you didn't see it. Trust me. it's a fail

but today was the real fail
you see I started recording about 8pm (Top Model was on, I was busy) so I finished one look decided to move on to another look which ended up not working, but the point is I should've had 2 sets of footage to edit. I start to process the clips and they aren't on the memory card. I know i recorded bc the little red light was on...WTF

so I've already taken off my makeup so I go back and just record one eye...cuz i'm pissed off...on that same card. Guess what. It doesn't record AGAIN! wtf.
Luckily I had another memory card so i filmed ONE MORE TIME...and it finally took, but in that last set of footage I was so pissed off I didn't even do a live tutorial, I just walked you guys thru it. I'm sorry, but yeah...like I always say: Project 48 stops for nothing...but today it was seriously this {-} close to not being up today.

Day 16...stupid youtube

so...i posted the video...and it's still processing.
completely not my fault if youtube makes me a day late. :/

damn you, youtube!!

Day 15: WTF happened to your eye!?!?

Day 14: The Raven!

Nevermore....

or actually, right now!

so I started with the NYX jumbo eye shadow in Black Bean as a nice dark base...

covered the lid with a satin black from the BH cosmetics 120 palette (i know i use this palette all the time, but it's so convenient cuz it has EVERYTHING!!)



next i used MAC's Teal pigment and blended that into the lashline and up into the black

a shimmery lavender from the 120 palette in the inner corner



used the LA Splash sealer and some awesome black mixed craft glitter to add dimension to the outer corner

lined my waterline with Raven eye kohl from Mac

black mascara

and finished with "Plum Crazy" lipstick from Avon

Day 13...

as always Friday is J(j)ack with Jjacks day so no blog post...check back tomorrow for the final day of Bird week! :)

Day 12: The Pheasant

wtf is a pheasant you might ask...well it's a bird. duh.
mostly they have some kick ass tail feathers and ppl like to hunt them, that's about all i know.
Not a big fan of bird hunters...but yeah, that's a whole 'nother blog.

here we go:

Started off with Rubenesque paint pot from Mac
Next i used a pink/red shimmer (from the BH cosmetics 120 palette) on the lid and winged the tip out toward my brow:


an orange shimmer over and blended into the red


and a royal blue to finish off the outer corner


in the inner lashline I used a bright yellow to mimic the yellow around the pheasants eye skin


and then a lavender shimmer to the outer lashline


Kohl rimmed with a black liner

black mascara

and finally the Urban Decay pocket rocket in James to the lips




ta-da! ;)

Day 11: Blue Jay

another day...another eye patch ;)

So i started off this time with Electric Blue jumbo eyeshadow stick from NYX
then a light blue from the BH cosmetics 120 palette
next up a nice turquoise to blend into the center
and finally a darker royal blue to fade out the outer corner

with a smaller brush I swept a black/charcoal shadow in the inner crease, blending upward
and then a black liquid eyeliner

((i totes forgot the apply mascara!)) whoops.

but i did use Amorous dazzleglass from MAC on my lips

here we go:

Day 10: The Snowy owl

what's up guys! yes, i do have an eye patch on in this video...and probably the next few videos.

why? well as you know i was sick and now my poor left eye has a slight infection, this way i'm not contaminating my makeup by applying anything to the effected eye and also not making you look at that unattractiveness. anywho...

as always i'm starting off with nyx jumbo eyeshadow in Milk as the base

then a creamier white from the bh 120 palette

a true white (I used Gesso from MAC) in the inner corner

followed by a light grey/silver (from the 120 palette) in the outer crease.

I applied a yellow in the inner corner (chrome yellow would be perfect here)

and then lined with a black liquid liner and smudged with a shimmery charcoal.

finished up with black mascara and filled in my brows

I used an unknown lipgloss from Balmshell (it's a medium toned sheer pink)

and then a frosty gloss from Este Lauder in the center to give my lips a fuller pout

Day 9..,

Day 8: BIRDS!!! (Flamingo)

New week...new theme

It's Bird week here on Project 48...I have a few ideas for some birds but if you have any special birds you'd like to see please feel free to leave me a comment!

Okay to start I used Milk from NYX (the jumbo pencil)

Then a bubble gum pink from the BH Cosmetics 120 palette


a light shimmery pink from the same palette


Bewitch from Addiction NV cosmetics on the outer crease


Next the black felt pen liner from Physician's formula

a black matte shadow in the inner corner and outer edge

using the LA Splash sealer as a base I applied a pink glitter to the outer corner


black mascara

and finally a bright pink Wet n Wild lipstick for the lips!

Day 7: Coke

That's all she wrote, folks! At least for the Sodas. Next week=New Theme... surprise! ;)

So pop open a Coca-Cola and enjoy:

Started off with the NYX jumbo stick in Milk

Applied a shimmery white all over the lids


Next a medium toned red to the crease


orange-red to the outer corner


Now Redhanded from Addiction NV cosmetics to the outer crease, blended but still really dark


Black felt tip liner from Physicians Formula

Black mascara

and for the lips start off with Makeup Forever's true red

then I tapped on BFTE's addicted shadow which makes my lips sooooper metallic


and a touch of Red Sparkle from NYX in the pout.


Voila!

Day 6...Friday

Yo! what up.

So it's day six and you know what that means....?

Well, it means it's J(j)ack with Jjacks day so no corresponding post.

Tomorrow marks the last of the "Soda" series and it also marks my trip to Arlington to go to Six Flags! :)

don't worry, i'll still be posting. Project 48 stops for no man!...or rollercoaster

Day 5: Mtn Dew

Alright folks..it's late & i'm tired...so let's get right to it shall we:


Started off with Rocky Mountain Green from NYX (and MIlk in the inner corner)


For the lids I used colors from the BH Cosmetics 120 palette
next up a kelly green on the center of the lid:


a bright lime in the inner corner:


forest green in the outer:


I used an orange/red on the lower lashline:


Mac's Rock-it Yellow (pro color) as a liner on the inner and outer corners:


Kohl rim the lids with a black liner

color change lipstick or a bright pink on the center of the lips (i have no clue where to get these, my grandma ordered them from a catalog somewhere) :


Bronzer on the cheeks, this one is from Physicians Formula


and finally a sweep of Ulta's Pretty Princess gloss...
